The Brief
Xcelerate Women is a transformative nonprofit loacted in Portland, Oregon that provides supportive services to business owners who embody or share traits of womanhood within or beyond the gender binary. They came to us wanting to update how they represent their evolving mission, and to fully capture how they support individuals seeking to create economic power.
The Solution
A huge part of Xcelerate Women comes from seeking to empower each individual's story; no two business owners require the same services and support, or are on the same business journey. Our brand needed to celebrate business owner success, represent a sea of stories and voices, and fill in the gaps where the current system fails.
Using colorful geometric shapes and silhouettes in the brand illustration, we're able to create compositions that create overlaps and contrasts that tie into the community that Xcelerate Women brings together. Balanced type + color palettes give both approachability and confidence in the brand, letting people in and uplifting them. Our guiding light within the new brand is centering the individuals, and giving photography center stage by framing in moments with our geometric illustrations.
